Okay so a little problem with the head 82 years old and it has a couple cracks one good sized one on top and one little one under the head. The first place I took it to told me it was not salvageable. They told me to find a new head. Then I laughed and said that is next to imposable.  So again Dave at Hood's Machine in Bolivar MO. came to the rescue and saved me again. I owe Dave big time. He told me he could fix the cracks and would help. So as soon as we fix the cracks I will get new valve seats installed then put in the new valves, springs and guides. then it is good to go.

I picked up my rebuilt clutch, and my motor last week. Dave did a great job on my cam big thanks to Hood's Machine Shop . So close to getting the engine back together!  Woo Hoo! I got a call from Jon at The Carburetor Shop he finished my rebuild kit early! He sent me my carb. and the kit and I can't wait to get it started. I also took the water pump to have a bushing replaced and reamed to size. I dropped the water pump off at 9:30am and they called me at 11:30 to pick it up. I also ordered the rest of my head studs from ARP so they should be here soon! Now all I need is for the weather to change and warm up to paint.

This has been a busy couple weeks. I have been to machine shops, clutch shops, and now The Carburetor Shop in Eldon Mo. Jon at The Carburetor Shop took my carb. in and is building a rebuild kit for it. Great guy gave my son and me the dime tour. What a place! and he has all the rebuild kits for almost any thing! And I mean any thing!. Glad to know my carburetor is in good hands. I was really impressed when he showed me original parts for my carb. that only was produced for a couple of years. Well now the wait begins to get every thing together. I have a long list of to do's and it is getting shorter. YEAH!!! So when the weather warms up I have a engine and tin to paint in color, primer to paint the head. Then a couple little things and it is time to put a engine back together!
